What is your idea about child rights protection in Israel, if to look at a photo with girls writing on shells?

Writing on military shells "with love from Israel", which are used then for destruction of homes and killing of people in Lebanon.

These photos were published in many websites, e.g. http://www.tinyrevolution.com/mt/archive...

Do you know the story how these girls had access to rockets and how that happened that children had been involved in military actions? I understand that some very poor countries, which have not heard about rights of children, involve them in wars, but how that happened that educated Israeli people think it is OK?

I personally did not hear any reaction from the part of UNESCO or other international agencies for children rights.

Do these girls are not subjected to similar bad things as youth, which has been involved into Hitler's party (Hitler-Jugend, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler_Yout...

Pretty scary what these people are teaching their children. Yeah, why were the kids around those bombs in the first place? Sickening.
Reply:I would agree that as a posed propaganda piece using the kids was distasteful but I don't think they were in any danger or were anywhere near a front line.

I think your comparison to the Hitler Youth is valid in only one respect: Israel is a very militarized country as was Nazi Germany. Israel has compulsory military service as well so kids are naturally more aware of and involved with the military than any kids in the U.S. or Europe today would be. Seeing servicemen and military equipment would not be out of the ordinary for Israeli children so the scenes aren't as crazy as you might think. I'm not an Israel basher personally but I do agree that as a piece of propaganda these scenes with the children are reminiscent of those of totalitarian states.
Reply:when you see pictures like this, keep in mind that that is all it is...they don't tell you if the children were even aware of what they were doing...children are so easily persuaded into thinking something is right or wrong depending on who it is that is telling them

people are raised differently...the culture is so different over there than it is here in the us...

sometimes they feel they need to strap bombs onto their children and send them out into the streets and what blows, blows...they have some kind of morbid thought that it is doing their country some good

i don't know that we can do anything about any of this type of hatred training...that is why there are generation after generation of people that hate others
Reply:it only shows, what is the culture and generation we have , a culture of hate and wrong values , it is now the time to stop fighting on both side and give peace and respect on both sides.
Reply:I do not see the difference between children writing on a bomb and putting a "Support Our Troops" sticker on a SUV.
