Can you tell me how to extract chitin from crab shells?

make the steps simple for me to perform.

Can you tell me how to extract chitin from crab shells?
You have to grind up the shells and remove the calcium, perhaps using ACV (apple cider vinegar). I remember an old trick where you could place a whole egg (shell and all) in a glass milk bottle by soaking the egg in vinegar to soften the shell. Egg shells also use chitin. But see the source for details. Good luck.
Reply:u sure crab shells only contain calcium? how do ya know that all calcium is in fact removed? Report It
Reply:can't tell ya
