What is cheaper 12 ga or 20 ga shells?

What is cheaper/what is a better gun for clay pigion shotting?

What is cheaper 12 ga or 20 ga shells?
Some 20 ga. is cheaper than 12 ga. but $3 or $4 per box. And at times, you will find them the same price. But the 20 ga. is the perfect upland game gauge. If you go from clay pigeon to real birds, you'll find you'll like the 20 ga. much better.
Reply:i personally prefer 12 gauge cause it has more power but more kick and the ammo prices are mostly the same
Reply:12 gauge is better.* They are both the same price on ammo.*
Reply:20 gauge is better but more expensive.
Reply:20 is cheaper (not by much ) and will b good for shootin clay pigions its less power so you wont get tired or feel like you have been hit in the arm
Reply:they are priced about the same at the store, but if you reload you will find 20 guage to be much less expensive
Reply:You'll find they are usually about the same price. Other rounds like .410, 16 and 28 gauge are higher. All gauges .410 through 12 have the a place in shotguns sports involving clays. Many shooters in the game of Sporting Clays use 12 gauge because of some of the distances involved. Competition skeet sees competitors shoot all of the following: .410, 28, 20 and 12 gauge. Best guns for clays depends on who you ask, but most people who are serious use auto-loaders or over/under shotguns for Skeet, Sporting Clays and 5-Stand. Quality auto loaders tend to cost less than quality over/unders shotguns.
