Stuffed jumbo pasta shells?
~~~~~PASTA SHELLS WITH RICOTTA CHEESE
STUFFING
1 (16 oz.) box lg. shells, cooked
1 lb. Ricotta cheese
1/4 c. diced Prosciutto, cooked
Ground veal or spinach
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 c. hot tomato sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat Ricotta, Prosciutto and egg together in a large bowl. Stuff approximately 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture into each shell and place in a baking pan. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 15 to 20 minutes. Arrange shells on serving plates and pour hot sauce over.
If you want to add hamburger~ Fry drain top pasta shells.
Reply:I combine ground beef with frozen spinach ( thawed), ricotta cheese, and marinara sauce. This I stuff into the shells. I pour a light layer of marinara in a pan, then the stuffed shells, and then cover with more marinara and bake... covered.
Reply:I am not sure what your question is...
Some things I use are cheese filled and I spoon sauce with chucks of meat in it over them. In your cheese mixture you can mix in just about anything from veggies to bits of sausage.
A tip for filling them is to take a ziploc bag put the mixture in it and snip off the corner then just squeeze the cheese in the shells like using a pastry bag
Reply:I just made stuffed shells this week and just used cheese--ricotta and mozzarella and parmesan in it. Then put sauce over it and baked it.
