What do those numbers mean on shotgun shells?

What do those numbers mean on shotgun shells?
7 1/2 is the shot size. The 2 1/2 is the dram equivalent of black powder and the 1 is 1 ounce of shot.
Reply:Size of shotgun BB's inside %26amp; amount of gunpowder inside shell %26amp; total weight of BB's inside shell.*
