How much are 1961 or 1962 Winchester 30/30 silvertip rifle shells worth?

I have an old box of Winchester 30/30 silvertip rifle shells and was wondering how much they might be worth.

In light of the fact that Winchester just went bust I would say you need to hold on to them and keep them in good condition.

Now I would say may be with box in good condition about and unfired shells full box at about $50 to $65 dollars.

But set in them for 10 to 15 years and the price should run much higher.

I would say hold on to them and see where the prices go, they can only go higher seeing that Winchester close its Doors.

That my opinion

Reply:I dont know but I had some 30.06 silvertips from the same era . I used them to hunt with . I shot 3 deer with them they were devestating rounds .They dont make shells now like they used to. I was amazed at the exit wounds those shells left . I know I could have saved them but hey a few hundred pounds of meat was worth more than the shells.

I still have the Super X box . Its worth something

Im not saying to use them but if I had more I would use them . I was really impressed with those rounds. I never had a misfire as old as the shells were. And I was sure I cleaned the barrel because older shells sometimes had corossive primers
Reply:Condition of the box and shells is important. if all is good, you may get $100 out of a collector.
