Are Range Hood Shells considered Range Hoods or not?

Take the following link, http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605...

it is a range hood shell but with missing components like ducting, blower kit required, halogen light bulbs, etc. Would this be considered a range hood even though all those parts are missing?

This is why you must read the complete description. Ductwork is not normally included with the sale same for lightbulbs. Most do include the fan and motor. This could be a replacement item and is "bare-bones". It is a "hood" only.
Reply:a range hood is a complete unit including a blower.... have a look at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiLPLXm_6...

Reply:No. A range hood must exhaust to the outside.
