Is it possible to make Velveeta Shells and Cheese in the Microwave? I do not have access to a stove top as I am in college and all my dorm room has is a Microwave.
Making Velveeta shells %26amp; cheese in the Microwave?
I think you probably need stove top for velveeta...but I'm not 100%. If you can't make it in the microwave, try kraft easy-mac...it doesn't taste anywhere near as good as the velveeta but it should help your mac and cheese craving.
Reply:This is all wrong by the way. If you go to Kraft's website they give you directions for making it in the Microwave.

Reply:Try Kraft Mac %26amp; Cheese. They have the kind you can pop in the microwave and surprisingly good. I get it for my kids for a quick snack...
Reply:Yes I do all the time you stir often and you can cover with a paper towel too. My daughter 1st yr at college showed me how. good luck.
Reply:I think if you put the Velveeta shells in the micro, with a little bit of water, like 1/4 to 1/2 cup depending on how much macaroni. and cook it about 2. min. at a time until soft then add the Velveeta with a little milk it would work. make sure you cover the bowl with plastic wrap or wax paper.
Good luck and try not to start a fire.
Reply:Next Time you go to the Store look for Microwavable "Velveta and Shell's" and follow Instructions
Reply:Yes, just put it in a bowl with a lid (cracked open a little) on top.
Reply:I agree with april marie's suggestion.
Dont worry about placing saran wrap or wax paper over it , it will be fine without it. =0}
Reply:You could try the microwave but I don't think it will be as tasty as it probably could be, I wish you well.
Reply:yea, there are usually directions on the side of the box, not the back, opposite of the ingredient's side.
