HArd Boiled Eggs, what does it mean when the shells are sticking to the egg and pulling it apart?

Are they too hot? Too cold? or did I cook them too long?

HArd Boiled Eggs, what does it mean when the shells are sticking to the egg and pulling it apart?
Older eggs are used for boiling and peeling. Another trick is to boil your eggs, cool in ice water thoroughly, then crack and peel; this helps but no guarantee you'll peel all of them smoothly. Something else to try is boil the eggs one day, cool, and store unpeeled in a baggie/covered bowl in the fridge; peel the next day.
Reply:it usually means the egg is too fresh
Reply:It actually means that your eggs are too fresh. For some reason, eggs that are closer to the expiration date peel more easily when boiled. I never boil fresh eggs for this reason. It is a PAIN!!!
Reply:Normally, it means the eggs are very fresh. Just crack their shells a little more, set in cold water then peel carefully.
