Why have my African Land Snails got white bits on the tips of their shells?

They are about 6 months old and are growing. Where the new shell is growing it starts green and then turns dark brown but their tips are going white. I have 7 all in a large tank and feed them on cuttle fish and cucumber and keep their soil moist.

The outer layer of the shell (periostracum) is wearing off with age. It tends to happen over time, and isn't too much to worry about. I would suggest you vary their diet a bit though, give them moistened dog biscuits and tomatoes occasionally, they also go mad for beetroot!
