Is it safe to eat eggs with linseed oil on the shells after the birds have been treated for mites?

yes, I grew up on a chicken farm, and thought the shells are mildly porous, the oil is much thicker than air and doesn't readily penetrate. assuming that you collect eggs daily, there will be zero contamination, just wash the eggs in mildly soapy water as you normally would to remove fecal matter and scramble or poach away!
