How can I use egg shells as source of dietary calcium in my diet ?

Are there other natural sources of calcium to prevent osteoporosis in the elderly ?

Lol, eggshells? Wow that reminds me of that episode of " Man Versus Wild" I saw a few weeks ago. That guy would eat anything to prove different ways to survive. Anyway, isn't cheese and broccoli and yogurt a little tastier than eggshells, you poor thing?
Reply:If you were a chicken, then crushed eggshells could be added to your diet, to give your eggshells added strength. As a human I havent heard of it being much use, but there are always people out there doing weird stuff. You can buy any number of products at a pharmacy to prevent osteoporosis.
Reply:why would you do that? if you need calcium, take some pills.

egg shells carry salmonella, I can imagine why anyone would consider doing this... sorry
