If anyone knows of any just cause or impediment why i should not keep these shells speak now or forever hold your peace. Bona Fida Question , not chatting , typing, I need to know this
I borrowed some shells from the beach as i like them around my plants in the pots is this illegal?
Just imagine if everyone put back the shells
Reply:are you borrowing or marrying them?!?
Reply:No problems there m8, shells are for everyone and anyone
Reply:I;ve been looking for you. You see,,,I'm the owner of the world's largest sea shell collection. I keep it scattered on the beaches around the world. I noticed that some were missing and now I know why. I want my seashells back. I'm about to report you to the authorities unless you give them back.
Luv Ya!

Reply:There are some rare varieties of shells which are controlled, by the government and require permits for collection/retention. There are some common, easily available, varieties where such controls do not apply. In case of private beaches, the owner's and govt permission (the latter, in case of controlled rare varieties only) is/are required, as and if, applicable.
Reply:Depends on the law where the action took place. You didn't "borrow" the shells, you TOOK them. Borrowing implies an intent to return items.
Reply:If it is cannabis plants, it is illegal.
Reply:only if they find out shhh keep quiet and they're yours
Reply:No not really, but it is illegal to take large amounts such as a sack full.
Reply:Technically I think it is illegal. The shells and pebbles on the beaches belong to the Crown. However, I don't think the Queen is going to take you to court or make a complaint to the Police. We all take shells and pebbles home with us. There's enough for all of us!
Reply:EJ, you could not have 'borrowed' them!
As someone who lives beside the sea side I can assure you that shells are common property, so you have no need to worry.
Mind you; if they were below the high tide watermark then Mr. Poseidon may want them back!
Reply:Probably. If you picked up shellls of a protected species, you could do time in a Federal prison.
Reply:to u %26amp;ur plants Enjoy!!!!
Reply:Unless the Queen is a member on YA i wouldn't worry about it.
Reply:Just don't sell the sea shells at the sea shore
Reply:What country is it illegal to use shells? Why would it be illegal as long as it's just a shell without a living creature in it?
Edit, my dad used to polish stones from the beach to sell at craft shows and so did all the rest of his lapidary club. I've seen shells for sale at beach shops.
Reply:Nope.........
Those shells are a gift to you from God........
Keep them %26amp; enjoy them......
