Egg shells were sent down the garbage disposal and have now clogged the drain. How do I fix this?

Does something disintegrate eggshells that can go down a garbage disposal? Can drain-o go down the garbage disposal? Help!I don't really want to take ay pipes apart. Will a plumbers snake go by a disposal? Thanks.

I seriously doubt it was just the egg shells that clogged the drain. More than likely is was a bunch of grease combined with some fiberous material and the eggs. Use a plunger to break up the clog. If your disposal doesn't work, try resetting the thermal overload button (usually on the bottom of the disposal unit under the sink).
Reply:your screwed....=P you'll have 2 ways....use a strong lie acid power and water....or....take pipps off=P those you sugguested wont work=P
Reply:Need an allen wrench at the bottom of the disposal. Don't have to tear it apart. That will make the disposal drain.
Reply:Put the plumbers rods/snakes into the drain after the disposal unit. Go under the sink and at the last point where you can open the pipe before it goes undergroung , open it there and use plumbers rods, should be simple fix. :O)
Reply:i don't know but i won't do that anymore.
Reply:Don't know, but I'd say stop eating eggs in future! :)
Reply:Definitely a bad move
