What is an easy way to remove broken egg shells?

It happens to the best of us! There you are, all hungry and looking forward to an omelette or something like that, so you break some eggs into a bowl and one of them splinters and you are left with bits of shell in the mixture.

How do you get them out easily without too much mess?

Use the other portion of the eggshell or another eggshell. They attrack to each other like magnets if I remember right.
Reply:Believe it or not - with a bigger piece of egg shell. It pulls it right out!
Reply:I use my finger.
Reply:I remember Martha Stewart years ago showing a way to remove the broken egg shell pieces with a large portion of egg shell. For some strange reason they are attracted to one another.
Reply:Nature provides. ha ha

Just use the half shell and use it as a scoop It works great.
Reply:With your finger (clean, of course). The shell doesn't like to stick to spoons or forks or anything metal, so it's more difficult with a utensil.
Reply:I usually just stick my fingers in there and get them out. My hands are already clean since I've previously washed them before starting to cook.
Reply:Use another bigger piece of shell. It seems to attract smaller pieces almost like a magnet.

Or you can pass the eggs thru a strainer
Reply:use a fork with prongs that are close together then use the tip of your finger.
Reply:I leave it in for a home-made effect.
