How does one clean snail shells after they have been used with garlic butter?

I know snail shells are reusable but getting all that old garlic butter out looks as if it's going to be difficult.

Place them in a pot with water and some vinegar (white vinegar either apple or wine). Bring to a boil and let them boil for a little while...You'll see that the butter comes to the top of the water. The vinegar helps cut the grease and remove the garlicky smell too. Drain , making sure the butter doesn't go back on the shells... Afterwards place on a towel, or kitchen paper and allow to dry, once dry, If the smell is still noticebale, repeat the process.

Store in a large glass jar or glass kitchen canister.

I've had some (which I reuse regularly) for years.... As long as they don't crack, they're ok.
Reply:Try Pipe cleaners.
