Is this how valence shells can be represented in terms of subshells?

1s2

(1st shell - valency: 2)

2s2, 2p6

(2nd shell - valency: 8)

3s2, 3p6

(3rd shell - valency: 8)

4s2, 3d10, 4p6

(4th shell - valency: 18)

5s2, 4f14, 5p6, 5d10

(5th shell - valency: 32)

... etc.

Thanks for your replies :P

You skipped 4d, and if you are listing them in order of filling, you may want to look more closely at the order of 4d/3f/5p.
