I'm making cheese stuffed shells

What is a good side dish to go with stuffed shells ?
since that is a pretty heavy main dish I would just stick with a salad and maybe some garlic bread.
Reply:Garlic Cheese bread and a salad with Italian dressing.
Reply:Stuffed shells are so good. A green salad or some green vegetables would be a nice with this.

Try the recipe: "Northern Italian Pasta Shell Stuffing" by Barbara Platoni.Type this recipe or "Barbara Platoni" on Yahoo's Search Bar, and you'll fine a few websites that will give you directions for this dish. I saw Paula Deen do it on The Food Network Show in March. A little time consuming to make, but it's worth the effert!!
Reply:Fresh Green Salad, Steamed Broccoli, French style Green Beans, Steamed Zucchini, Anything in the Green Veggie family will balance the meal

Don't forget the Garlic Bread
Reply:Steamed Broccoli with a little salt and pepper and a drizzle of butter.
Reply:salad
Reply:I would go with either steamed green veges like broccoli or green beans or snow peas, etc...OR

...could go the other way and have a fresh fruit salad...OR

the obvious which is normally served on the side with any kind of pasta - including stuffed shells - tossed green salad. You could have cole-slaw instead. OR a Waldorf salad might work too.

(yummy...I'm hungry for stuffed shells now..and that is NOT on the diet..lol)
Reply:Cheese %26amp; pasta are pretty heavy, I'd just go with a salad, or Caesar salad if you prefer.
Reply:Steamed broccoli or any steamed variety of veggies!
Reply:a salad, garlic cheese bread, and chocolate cake for dessert.
Reply:A favorite meal of ours Christmas Eve and we have garlic bread with cheese and a tossed salad.
Reply:carrott sticks
Reply:garlic bread
Reply:You need something that contrasts in color and texture. A nice green salad - Caesar is great. Or an antipasto. I get hungry just thinking about it!

and canolli's for dessert
