I collected a few shells at the beach?

and was curious as to what would be a cool arts and crafts thing to do with them , i would like to give whatever it is i make to a friend of mine also.

I collected a few shells at the beach?
Find a cheap frame that is scratched or something. Then paint it, I suggest a light color like, light blues, purples, greens or yellows and white of course (probably acrylic paint, though it depends on what the frame it made out of). Then arrange the shells on the frame in any way you like. You can just use the shells or you can also paint a little beach scene or beach related items on the frame along with the shells. Be creative with what exactly you do, let it develop. Once you've got the shells where you want them glue them down with some sort of mounting glue (something tough). All I suggest is to use a light color initially and don't glue down the shells until you've layed them out and like the design! Good luck!

Have fun!
Reply:U could use it as a decoration piece to make a frame and put in the picture in it...

Take a rectangular piece of cardboard .Keep the pic U want to frame in the middle and draw and outline slightly larger than it...

Now cut the mid part.. Now comes the fun part... Place the shells and such all around the cardboard.. In an appealing way and glue them...

Use kitchen roll or tissue paper and cover the shells and cardboard with it.. Use PDA glue wit water in it.. Meke sure all the nooks and corners are done...

Use acrylic or Poster paint... Nice thick one.. Scrunch up a tissue and take a bit of gloden paint or which ever color appeals and dab it lightly onto the shells... the raised parts...

Keep on doing it,.. until the whole pof the cardboard frame is covered with paint.. Now tape the photo and voila.. its ready

...

U can use any object... NUts and bolts are my fav,,,
