I'm a budding chocolatier (well out of my home at least) and was curious if there was a way of making a home made version of a candy coated shell to put around chocoate or peanut butter filling.
Something similar to the candy shell on M%26amp;Ms or Resee Pieces.
So does anyone have a recipe that can help me out?

It's simply water and sugar and food coloring, chilled chocolate is dipped, cooled, dipped, etc. The one thing you don't have would be the automation part where the coating is sprayed on in a tumbler and once cooled a cornstrach polishing compound is added for a nice shiny coating.
