What is the easiest way to stuff jumbo pasta shells?

its easiest with your hands

What is the easiest way to stuff jumbo pasta shells?
you can stuff with just plain ricotta, cover in store bought tomato sauce and bake it covered with mozzarella

I like to mix intot he ricotta, a little bit of parmesan, basil or spinash and an egg, which willl make it get a little firmer so it isn;t watery
Reply:With a piping bag.
Reply:My boyfriend and I always have that problem! They either break or they don't get enough filling. Then we discovered something truly amazingly easy. A cookie press! If you have a cookie press, just put the filling inside and push the button. You get a nice, even amount of filling without the mess!
Reply:First you have to boil the shells, drain and cool them on a baking sheet so they don't stick together.

Mix your stuffing together and put it in a ziploc bag. Cut one corner off the bottom of the bag (start small because you can always make the cut bigger if you have to. Squeeze the bag so the stuffing come out, into the shell. Quick, easy, very little mess!
Reply:Try one of those bags you use to make fancy icing designs, just use a large hole tip
Reply:I always just used a spoon but I made them last night and used a ziploc bag. The only problem was I ran out of filling so I don't know if the hole was too big in the bag or what. I kind of think using the spoon was a little easier.
Reply:put your stuffing mix in a zip lock bag

expel the air,, lock,, and snip the bottom corner,,,

Small enough to let the mix pass.

I'd boil the shells for less than half recommended

but soft enough to get the bag in

they will continue to cook in oven.
Reply:With a pastry bag with a large round tip. Gets it in there perfect and very neat.
