Help! What goes with stuffed shells?

They would be cheese stuffed shells and possibly some spinach stuffed shells.... My aunt and uncle would be attending and they usually go the meat and potato route....

Thanks! :)

Help! What goes with stuffed shells?
A tossed green salad goes with that. Also, some meat balls in a tomato sauce used on pasta.
Reply:Try a salad and steamed broccoli
Reply:I would make a pot of italian sweet %26amp; hot sausages in a maranara sauce, garlic bread and a salad
Reply:I would stuff some with meat too...make a large crispy green salad with lots of veggies, and garlic bread......
Reply:Garlic bread and sauteed green beans with parmesan cheese and salt.
Reply:A green salad, some nice crusty french bread. If they are meat and taters type folks...you could flour a couple chicken breasts...smother them in the sauce...kinda fast chicken Parmesan.
Reply:You can cook up some sausage in gravy (always have extra gravy on hand)

The garlic bread sounds like a great idea also.

I also have added diced chicken to the mixture you stuff into the shells. It's very yummy!
Reply:Stuffed shell ?

What king of shells ?

here is what I know

Reply:Typically you can make a nice parmesean bread... homemade or store bought. You should look into making a simple italian dressing for a simple salad. look on foodtv for a good recipe.

If you have to go meat and potatoes, I think that a pork loin would go nice with your shells. Red meat or chicken isn't going to compliment it as much and pork will still be eaten by your guests. Pork loin can be as simple or easy as you like... the grocery store has great ones that are already seasoned.

If you want to go potatoes, think about twice baked potatoes or deep fried new potatoes with garlic and butter...
Reply:A side of Pasta would go great with it.
Reply:Instead of covering them with marinara, use a real meaty spahgetti sauce.

Serve it with a big Italian or Caesar salad and some garlic bread. Mmmmm.

And don't forget dessert!
Reply:MAke a roasted veggie salad with green beans, yellow, red, and green peppers, onions, mushroom and drizzle it with saltpepper, garlic, and olive oil.
Reply:Salad, bread, steamed broccoli or grilled asparagus, if they really want meat perhaps a grilled chicken breast with a nice wine sauce or melted cheese over it, crisp white wine, sweet dessert
Reply:A nice italian salad and some garlic bread.
Reply:Salad...when I eat that dish it's usually the shells as the main coarse, and we don't eat any sides. But, buttered rolls would be good, too.
Reply:any type of marinara sauce or alfredo sauce for the shells themselves.

To accompany the shells, maybe a chicken piccata or fish in a lemon butter sauce....

wow I am getting hungry...
Reply:Red wine sounds good.
