Can the calcium from powdered egg shells be absorbed into the human skeleton?

Considering the questions concerning the benefits of calcium

supplements, i.e. the study inAustralia showing an increase in heart problems among women who took calcium supplements, would an egg shell based calcium source be conceivable? Is egg shell calcium absorbed by our bones? Oyster shell is not. Could osteoporosis be addressed by a resource we have in our refrigerators. Does Big Brother not want use to know as the supplement industry would suffer? Chemically / physiologically is this absorbtion possible ?

Why wouldn't oyster shell work? That and egg shells should dissolve in the stomach acid and then can be absorbed.
